Remote learning advice

As we enter the second week of remote learning, I thought it would be a good idea to touch base with you all. Firstly I would like to extend my well wishes to you and your family and hope that the adjustment to remote learning has not been too stressful.

All classes at KNHS have been using google classroom as an interactive platform. Please ensure your child has linked onto their specific classes (google classroom codes were emailed to both parent and student emails last week)

Teachers will be online to answer questions from 8.55am - 3.30pm, during this time teachers will be working to their timetabled schedule and can offer support to students in their coursework. Students are expected to actively work on their assigned coursework during their timetabled period or can make up the lesson at another time. This is very important for senior students. Google classroom will allow students to keep communication open with their class teachers and be able to submit their coursework/assessments and receive teacher feedback.

Students should only privately message teachers if they have concerns and  this can be done through their assigned coursework file under their own name.

We expect that all students are to be responsible and respectful in their google classroom and must not communicate inappropriately or have personal conversations that are content or subject specific. The rules about use of ICT are the same as at school.

As this is still new territory for all of us, all we ask is that your child/children try their best and remember if you or your child are unsure of something please ask.
