KNHS IT Club
Welcome to our IT club,
Every Thursday, at lunchtime, in BF3C, students who have a passion for computers get together and work on desktop computers and laptops which have been donated by local businesses that specialise in computer repairs.
The purpose of the IT club is for members to extend their knowledge on hardware and software, share ideas and customise systems to suit individual IT purposes. For example, if an IT member is keen on gaming, we work together to decide on the best Graphics Card, CPU, RAM, HDD configuration for gaming. Then we program the CPU and the Video Card to work on higher Frequency Speeds and achieve the best resolution and processing power to get the best gaming experience.
As a member of the IT club, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Horka D. I am in Year 10 and I fulfil my IT passion by building computers, teaching others about how computers work, how to build them and how to apply troubleshooting if ANY kind of issues occur. I also teach members about operating systems (the program that connects the physical parts of a device). This involves Installing, Customizing and Editing an Operating System to suit individual needs. I really enjoy seeing how other students improve their knowledge and understanding in building computers and the great satisfaction that they receive from this experience.
I hope you enjoyed reading about what we do in our IT Club. At this point, we would like to extend our invitation to new members. It is a great opportunity. Please come along, see what we do and join the fun.
